Altar Guild
Volunteers who prepare the sanctuary and altar for meaningful worship — mostly behind the scenes, always with care.
01What we do
Preparing the table
The Altar Guild prepares the bread, wafers, wine and grape juice for communion at each service using the sacramental vessels.
- Caring for the baptismal font, banners, candles and altar linens
- Decorating the worship space for special seasons of the church year
- Organizing the details of funerals, weddings and baptisms with pastors and families
- Baking bread, sewing baptism napkins and laundering linens and albs
All are welcome to serve with the Altar Guild.
