Youth & Confirmation
Fellowship, service and putting words to faith — from confirmation to backpacking in the mountains.
01Confirmation
Grades 7 & 8, confirmed in 9th
7th and 8th grade students are invited to participate in confirmation.
Along with fellowship, service and putting words to their faith, students are prepared to be confirmed in the fall of their 9th grade year. Before confirmation, each student meets with a pastor and writes a Faith Statement, which they read at a Church Council meeting.
The Affirmation of Baptism is typically celebrated on Reformation Sunday — though some youth do this on their own schedule when they are ready. Adult confirmation instruction is also offered annually, usually in winter and spring.
